The 2024 Lexus GX 460 is a luxury SUV designed to have a starting price of around $65,000. It’s a powerful vehicle with a muscular 4.6-liter V8 engine and a six-speed automatic gearbox that can deliver 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. The full-time automatic all-wheel drivetrain helps the GX 460 tow up to 6,500 lbs, making it capable of hauling Powersports toys, small campers, or boats. It also has an Off-Road Package available in the top-of-the-line Luxury trim, which includes trailer shake control system and vehicle stability control system for safer towing.
The Lexus GX 460 also boasts of a luxurious interior design with plenty of space and a good driving position. It has a high seating position that provides a clear view of the road and a Black Line SE exclusive paint color option. Furthermore, the vehicle has heated and ventilated front seats, heated second row seats, and air vents in all three rows. It also has an advanced air filter, a head-up display, a Mark Levinson premium audio system, and a new key.
For the 2023 model year, there are some key changes in the GX 460. The exterior color palette receives a few updates, as Eminent White Pearl replaces Starfire Pearl and Claret Mica is removed for 2023 models.
For the 2024 model year, the next-gen Lexus GX Hybrid is expected to arrive with more tech features and a starting price of around $60,000.
The Lexus GX 460 is comparable to GMC Yukon, Infiniti QX80, and Toyota 4Runner with its truck-like construction and seating for three. It is slightly bigger than the Toyota Highlander in terms of rear head room but has less front head room, front shoulder room, front leg room, rear shoulder room, rear leg room, and trunk space compared to the latter.
