The Honda S2000 is an iconic sports car that has been around since 1999. It was discontinued in 2009, but rumors have been circulating for years that a new version of the S2000 is in the works. In 2020, these rumors were given more credence when Honda unveiled the 20th Anniversary concept of the original S2000 at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
Currently, prices for a used Honda S2000 range from $17,995 to $105,977, with vehicle mileage ranging from 3,859 to 201,204. Prices for a clean S2K with less than 20,000 miles are currently going for $35,000-$40,000 or higher.
It is expected that the new S2000 will arrive before 2024 to coincide with Honda’s 75th birthday. The new S2000 is rumored to have similar proportions to the original and be made of aluminum and carbon fiber to keep the weight below 3,000 lbs. It is also expected to have a 2.0-liter turbo engine, pumped up to 350 hp like the Civic Type R engine.
If the new S2000 does come out, it is likely to be priced in the mid- $ 50,000 range or even higher. This would make it significantly more expensive than the original S2000, which sold for around $35,000 in its last year.
As of now, there is yet to be a definitive answer as to how much a Honda S2000 will cost in 2025. However, based on current trends, the price of a clean S2K will continue to rise and could reach the mid- $ 50,000 range or higher by 2025.
